Memories Week #3

1. As a child, which was your favorite ride at the amusement park?
2. What did you do as a child that got you into the most trouble? How did your parents handle it?
3. Describe a childhood birthday.
4. Have you met or worked with any famous people? Where, who, when…?
5. Tell about any pets you had as a child.

"I remember Mom telling about going out to the old Saltair (I think that is what it was called, as I understand it, it was by the Great Salt Lake). I don't know that they had a favorite ride but they would go out there for activites and dances, but there was a rollercoaster also, as I remember it. (If I am wrong, my brothers can correct me.)

I remember having a surprise birthday party for Daddy for his 70th birthday. We had it in our backyard. We had invited Mom and Dad to come up for dinner and when they arrived we were all there. We had a good time eating and playing games. As I remember it some of Aunt Inez' family happened to be there so they came as well. I don't think either Mom or Dad had many birthday parties as children, at least I don't know that I ever heard about them.

When Mom had the opportunity to go to England with the Singing Mothers, she indicated that some of the General Authorities traveled with them. They would have also been at the dedication of the Hyde Park Chapel, which is why they were there. Mom also had the opportunity to sing at October General Conference. I don't know how often they got to talk to the General Authorities but she got to see them.

I don't remember Mom or Dad talking about pets."
